Job Responsibilities
As a lifeguard and swim instructor at Community Christian Academy & Preschool, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and ensuring the safety of students during swimming lessons and recreational swimming activities.
- Instructing and guiding students of various skill levels in learning proper swimming techniques and water safety.
- Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum and meet the needs of each student.
- Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and encouraging their continuous improvement.
- Maintaining a clean and organized swimming area, including regular pool maintenance and equipment upkeep.
- Communicating effectively with parents, addressing any concerns or questions regarding their child's swimming progress.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for the position of lifeguard and swim instructor, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid.
- Proven experience in teaching swimming lessons to children of various age groups and proficiency levels.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, water safety, and rescue procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
